Week 5 of my complete art block. I feel like I'm going absolutely crazy! Between work, the flu and having to plan another move I just feel paralyzed when it comes to starting on a new art project.
I was going to put up my video processes on Youtube but upon reviewing their terms of service decided not to because once you upload something to Youtube you give them all rights to do what they please with it. They can sell it to who ever they want and do what they want with it. I was shocked! So now I think I will just forget about it. It's been a lot of work trying to do the captures in the first place. I might try other things but for now I think I will put those on the back burner.

Here's just one link that explains it a bit but there are many more people talking about it.
[link]Personally I am sick and tired of all these companies and corporations trying to strip us of our god given rights!!
Kiriban at 22,222. I will paint for the person who provides me with a screencap closest to 22,222 a digital painting of their choosing. I would like to point out that I am not afraid of painting things that are not found in my gallery. I don't mind painting nudity, dark/macabre, etc. I don't have much practice with anime or cartoons in general but I am not adverse to trying

Once you place anything on Youtube, facebook and others, it doesn't belong to you anymore. Not that I fight for the intellectual property or any ownership of any kind but these are how companies simplify the awesomely tricky (and hardly defendable) laws of copyright. I know I'm going to launch a big troll but this is not the point.
What pisses me off is that you'll find a few individuals sued to court for having harvested media content (mainly without the permission of the media company that distributes these works) while other companies don't hesitate to clearly state they'll own you without restriction and there's nothing you (not even laws, therefore) can do about it...
*These* are the biggest "art thieves" though not everybody would protest. Sad.
But yes, there's something we can do: stop subscribing to these web sites!
I have no Google account.
I have no Facebook account.
I have no Hotmail account.
I have no Twitter account.
...
And I can live without.
I don't subscribe to companies that take my rights and especially my freedom away.
I just hope you'll overcome your blocking phase. Don't worry and try to relax, you'll soon starve from not drawing
That is exactly what a Sweet Jail is. It catches you and you consent on giving away your freedom. It's so pleasant that you don't feel like going away. Until some day...
It reminds me of the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Let's stop playing the rats.
